This is one of the meanings of happiness in the home, for kindness is very beneficial between the spouses and the children, and brings results that no hardness could be achieved, as the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: "Allah loves kindness and reward for it in a way that does not reward for harshness or any other thing" (Muslim).
help his wife with housework:
Many men think that housework is beneath them, and some of them think they can undermine their status and position if they help their wives with this work. However, the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, "used to sew her own clothes, make up their own shoes and do whatever other work men do in their homes" (Ahmad).
This is how 'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her answer when asked about what the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu' alayhi wa sallam, used to do at home, she described what she saw herself. According to another report, she said: "He was like any other human being, he washed his clothes, milked his sheep and he was served" (Ahmad).

If Muslim men act the same way today, would achieve three things:

3. Would feel more humble and down on the ground.
These stories should make us remember those men who require their wives that the food is ready immediately, when the pot is on the stove and the baby is crying because she wants to be fed, they do not care to children and are able to wait patiently while the food is ready.
be affectionate with family members and play with them:
Show affection towards the wife and children is one factor that leads to an atmosphere of happiness and companionship in the family. So the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, advised Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, to marry a virgin, saying: "Why do not you marry a virgin? So you can play with her and she will play with you and thou shalt cause it will make you laugh and laugh at you "(Al Bukhari and Muslim).
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam also said: "Everything about it is not mentioned the name of Allah is idleness and play, but four things: a man playing with his wife" (An-Nasa' i).

The ways in which the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, showed affection towards young children, is too famous to be mentioned. He would often show his affection for his grandchildren Hasan and Husayn. This is probably one of the reasons why children were happy when he came back from travel, they rushed to welcome him, as reported in the following authentic narration: "When he came back from a trip, the children in your home to find out.
